On the weekend of June 5-6, 2004, NOSA hosted Vancouver Islands first
Rally Obedience seminar and trials. By all accounts, the seminar was
a resounding success.
- NOSA
began offering a Rally-O
class in
Sept. 2004.
Our special thanks go to the organizing committee led by
Education Chair Karen Blair and ably supported by Liz Hayes, Marilyn
Clayton, Jeanine Stannard and Lee Pears.
NOSAs reputation for always having good food to eat was further
enhanced by the superb efforts of Phil Griffith, Brian Hayes and
Paul Beaulieu in the kitchen.
Our thanks also go out to Bev Hurst, Chair of the Canadian
Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) our seminar presenter and
judge and to Laurie Albright our other judge, and to all those who
helped roll and load mats and equipment on Thursday night and again
after the seminar wrapped up.
There were 30 participants in the seminar and trials with their
dogs and of those 28 were able to go home with their Rally Novice
(RN) degrees. Our three High-in-Trial teams were Liz Hayes and
Stitch, Terry Gains and Lira, and Angela James and Sophie.
Congratulations. There were also 18 participants in the seminar
who did not have dogs and are now eager to give it a try themselves.
